Residential Expansion

As a residential college, the opportunity to live and learn together is what makes Marcus Oldham unique. Study companions, life-long friendships and future business connections are often formed in residence.

Over the past few years, as student numbers have increased, the College has been forced to source accommodation alternatives off site due to the limited number of bedrooms available on campus.

With an overwhelming demand from students to have the complete ‘Marcus experience’ and live and learn on campus, plans are currently underway to improve, upgrade and expand the student residence.

Stage 1 of the residential expansion was completed in 2022 with a new accommodation building housing 30 additional bedrooms constructed, increasing our ability to accommodate up to 150 students on campus.

Now that Stage 1 is complete, the College has moved on with plans for Stage 2 which includes a new building offering 40 additional bedrooms. This will enable the College to house and educate up to 180 students each year.

Like The Douglas Boyd Centre, student input has been an integral part of the design phase of the accommodation project.

Please watch the short video below to learn more about the importance of student accommodation for the our students and the plans for Stage 2.
