Big Dry Friday is about recognising the importance of rural and regional Australia, connecting city and country and providing support where it’s needed most.
It was launched in 2018 to raise funds for rural Australians who were suffering through one of the most severe droughts in decades.
The concept is simple…. On a Friday, once a year, city people forego (or match) what they might spend on a nice lunch or a burger, chips and a beer and donate it to the cause.
In 2021, the focus is on creating long-term benefits for rural Australia – supporting education, mental health and wellbeing.
