Yulong Stud Placement

While studying the Diploma of Equine Management, each student completes two mandatory industry placements throughout the year.

The first placement during Trimester 2 is an 8-week placement designed designed for students to put the theory learnt in the classroom into practice, working as a professional in the real world. There is the opportunity to work on prominent horse establishments throughout Australia and New Zealand in racing, harness, equestrian stables, administration, horse transport logistics, horse breaking, veterinary practices, marketing, media, financial institutions and more.

The second placement is a 4-week practical thoroughbred stud placement where students can gain further experience on leading thoroughbred studs in Australia or overseas.

Tori Smith and Hayley Spitse are currently studying the Diploma of Equine Management and recently finished their four-week week stud placement at Yulong Stud. Please enjoy this short video they put together with Yulong Investments about their time at Yulong Stud.
