Impact of Giving
The history of Marcus Oldham begins with a bequest of funds from the estate of the late Marcus William Oldham. Since it opened with 14 students in 1962, the commitment and generosity of our donors and community has helped shape the College into the leading agriculture and equine tertiary college it is today.
The College community and the broader equine and agriculture industries understand that Marcus Oldham graduates are tomorrow’s leaders. As Australia’s only independent agricultural and equine business management college, Marcus provides a unique educational experience to our students. We equip our graduates to succeed by being change-ready and resilient in an ever-changing world.
Building Program
All income from fees supports our teaching and learning programs and administration. To finance our capital improvements to buildings and new infrastructure, we rely on donations from our generous community.
Tax-deductible donations great and small are deeply appreciated and help us deliver dynamic learning environments and other facilities for our students.
The Foundation is currently raising $10 million to construct a new accommodation wing offering 45 additional bedrooms. Our goal is to start construction in January 2024, to open the doors to students in 2025.
Watch a video and hear from our students about how much they value their “Marcus Experience”, and the investment in their learning and living facilities.

Scholarships
Marcus Oldham is extremely fortunate to have many supportive community members, businesses and philanthropists who provide financial assistance to students through a named scholarship. They have the power to be life-changing, and the goal is to provide more opportunities to deserving students.
Our scholarships are generously sponsored by corporate and philanthropic organisations, friends, and families within the agricultural, agribusiness and horse industries.
