The annual Centre for Professional Business Luncheon in October was a sold-out success, with a packed audience gathering at the RACV City Club. This year’s keynote speaker, Professor Richard Eckard from the University of Melbourne, captivated attendees with his insightful and thought-provoking address on the complexities of carbon farming.
The event continued the following day with a Carbon Farming Forum held at the College. On-campus students attended in person, while postgraduate students, along with 170 alumni and industry professionals, joined in online.
Joining Professor Eckard as presenters for the Forum were Fiona Conroy, a farmer running a 400ha carbon-neutral mixed grazing operation on the Bellarine, and Andrew McKay, a current lecturer and investment advisor. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session, with the day culminating in a panel discussion featuring all the speakers.
For those unable to attend, the entire forum was recorded. Access to the recording is available by completing the form on the linked page here.
This forum was delivered with funding support from the Commonwealth of Australia through the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water under the Carbon Farming Outreach Program in collaboration with the Grower Group Alliance.
