In the coming months I will be inviting the Marcus graduates to lift a little, so that no one needs to lift a lot.
Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our Marcus Oldham supporters, I’m more than hopeful the College Council will greenlight the new 45-bed student accommodation in December.
The quest to raise $7 million to begin the build is within reach, so the Foundation will be looking to our broader Marcus alumni in 2024 to raise the $3 million needed to get us across the line for the $10 million.
Since 1962, all the buildings on campus have been funded through donations. Every student who attended Marcus did so due to due to the generosity of others.
It’s now our turn to give others the opportunity we had, and ensure Marcus continues to produce outstanding graduates.
You are now one of about 4000 former students: the Marcus alumni. If Marcus means as much to you as it does to us, and we all lift a little, then I know that we can get the job done.
