We are thrilled to announce Cleo Gower as Marcus Oldham College’s first Deputy Principal – Academic, beginning in 2025.

Cleo has been a valued member of our academic staff for a decade, marking her 10-year anniversary with us on 15 April 2024. As a Chartered Accountant and an accomplished educator, Cleo brings a unique blend of expertise. Before joining Marcus Oldham, she had a 16-year career in accounting, specialising in family and owner-managed businesses.

Originally from London, Cleo immigrated to Australia in 2009 with her young family, seeking fresh opportunities and challenges. Driven by her passion for education, she completed a Graduate Diploma of Primary Education in 2013. This new qualification, combined with her extensive accounting experience, led her to Marcus Oldham in 2014, where she began as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance.

In her commitment to lifelong learning, Cleo also became a Marcus Oldham alumna, completing a Master of Agribusiness in 2021. The following year, she took on the role of Director of Agriculture and Agribusiness, playing an instrumental role in shaping our courses and inspiring future industry leaders.

Reflecting on her new role, Cleo shared, “The Deputy Principal – Academic position highlights the College’s commitment to providing high-quality education and meaningful experiences for our students. I look forward to working closely with our talented staff and students to build on the great work already underway, ensuring that Marcus remains relevant for future generations.”

Cleo finds her greatest satisfaction in witnessing the success of her students as they embark on their careers. We are excited to welcome her into this new role and look forward to the positive impact she will continue to have at Marcus Oldham.
