At the recent Marcus Oldham Foundation Cocktail Party, first year student and Currawong scholarship recipient, Clancy Mackay, kept the audience spellbound with the story of his life (so far), from growing up on a bare block his parents were developing on the Roper River, to rodeo riding in the US, heli-mustering in the Top End, collecting crocodile eggs and catching buffalo; to finding his way to study Agribusiness at Marcus Oldham.
Word of Clancy’s speech soon reached Oli Le Lievre (AG’17), Humans of Agriculture founder, podcast host and College alumni who knew Clancy’s story was unique, inspirational and deserving of a larger audience than the few hundred people there that night. Oli and Clancy connected and over two episodes, they took a deep dive into Clancy’s life so far and where he hopes it will go.
