Meals & Accommodation

All accommodation, meals and entertainment are being provided free of charge for the Marcus Ready Weekend. Participants will need to be at least 18 years of age by 10th September 2022 and eligible to come to Marcus Oldham in 2023.

Accommodation will be individual single rooms with shared facilities in part of the student hostel. All linen, bedding and towels will be provided.

All meals are provided beginning with a BBQ dinner on Friday night and concluding with lunch on Sunday. Please advise any special dietary requirements by email to courses@marcusoldham.vic.edu.au

All organised entertainment including after dinner speakers will be provided free of charge.

Participants will be required to make their own travel arrangements to and from the College.

Both 1st year and 2nd years of the course curriculum are underpinned by two major study tours, the first each year taking in many parts of Victoria, New South Wales or South Australia and the second at the end of August often internationally. International tours have in the past been conducted to New Zealand, China, Indonesia, and Singapore and Malaysia.

There are no subject pre-requisites for entry into the Bachelor of Business (Agriculture) program. You are required to meet the entry requirements and be interviewed before an offer will be made.

Practical/industry placements that range between two weeks and ten weeks for the various programs are usually without payment although some employers will make a nominal payment. Quite often these placements provide an opportunity for future employment.

At Marcus Oldham, we offer various pathways for admission to our postgraduate program, including for those who haven’t completed a Bachelor’s degree.
If you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree, you can still apply if you can demonstrate your relevant experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or a related industry, as well as your completion of professional development courses.

Marcus Oldham College is spread across 500 acres on the outskirts of Geelong, near the Great Ocean Road and just one-hour from Melbourne.

For the Advanced Diploma of Equine Business Management course there are extensive facilities that include but are not limited to:
