Alumni Henry Dwyer wins race at Royal Ascot

Marcus Oldham graduate Henry Dwyer (EM’07) scored a stunning first-place victory with his horse Asfoora, in the Group 1 King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot on 18 June.

Traveling to the UK from the Henry Dwyer Racing stables in Ballarat, the five-year-old mare, had never won a Group 1 race before.

Scholarship sponsors believe in the next generation

Scholarships and bursaries have been awarded to 53 Marcus Oldham students this year, thanks to the generosity of the College’s sponsors and donors.

Warriwidgee scholarship recipient, FM1 student Sarah Pearce, recently visited her sponsor Peter Guthrie, who at 96 has now retired from farming and moved into the Skipton Aged Care Facility.
